Please sign the petition for a public statement from the U.S. Government confirming that the
decision to invade and install a new American-controlled government in (a) Iraq and (b) Afghanistan
was based wholly on security objectives, and that these decisions were in no way influenced by
economic motives.
We aim to deliver this petition by hand directly to the Whitehouse.
There is substantial evidence that the U.S. Government planned to set up new governments in Iraq and
Afghanistan for economic reasons - years before the disaster on September 11th 2001 and the
subsequent "war on terror". This has led to growing concerns among the public that this represents a
potential conflict of interest in the decision making process.

PETITION FOR STATEMENT FROM WHITEHOUSE CONFIRMING THAT PRESIDENT BUSH'S DECISION TO
INVADE IRAQ AND AFGHANISTAN TO INSTALL A NEW GOVERNMENT WAS NOT INFLUENCED BY ECONOMIC
FACTORS.
Please remember that the detail and accuracy of the details that you provide here may determine how seriously
the U.S. Government will consider your personal opinions.
